	Administrative formalities
	This process must start in advance of your relocation. Complicated and confusing by nature, resident and work permit approvals often demand the assistance of skilled and experienced professionals. With 10 years experience in this area GMR have set up an excellent relationship with local authorities. We are skilled professionals in dealing with French bureaucracy and immigration authorities. We are knowledgeable about working with the departments that approve works permits, residency papers and visas. We can also assist you regarding Social Security registration and family allowances. We will set up the file for you till you get your final Social Security card and number. Finally, we can help you for changing car plates, importing a car or exchange your driving licence.
	Accommodation
	We work with relocating executive's families to match their housing needs and preferences with the many different options the local housing offers. prior to starting the process, we ask families to complete a short survey to help identify and set priorities for their housing needs. Combining our knowledge of your requirements, with our familiarity of the new country’s choices allows us to better match your family with accommodation that will meet your needs. We work the following way: Definition of the future accommodation through a descriptive form provided by GMR and filled by the employee Meeting or Conference Call to analyze and discuss the information given in the form Selection of 5 accommodations Selection of another 5 accommodations if the first selection was not satisfactory Assistance in the lease negotiation and signature House inspection Electricity, Telephone, ADSL, Satellite...
	Installation / Departure
	The selection of accomodations (furnished or not) is realised through our real estate network (about 300 real estate agencies). We can also deal with "settling down" proposing a full range of services such as : Setting up a bank account Setting up cellular phone School registration Utilities connections : EDF/GDF (Electricity, Gas), France Telecom (Phone system), Water company Shopping with "Madame": Shopping centers , main shopping streets (Rue d’Antibes in Cannes, Avenue Jean Medecin in Nice, Pedestrian streets in Nice and Antibes) Useful visits : Mairie, Hospital, shops (bakery, grocery...), tax office, police station, doctors (pediatrician, dentist, GP, gynecologist...) A complete book will be given to the expatriate with all kind of information on the Riviera such as everyday life, medical care, transportation, money, schools, climate, pets, shopping, tourism, etc... Language school registration We highly advise you to start any accommodation research by a "Visite de Familiarisation" which stands in a full day program such as follows : Airport pick-up Visit of the main towns and villages Accommodation visits : selection of apartments and houses Typical lunch (at noon) Sophia Antipolis visit Conference to introduce the region, French culture, every day life Airport return The first year of residence we offer to asssit you through a yearly assistance package. This formula has been especially designed for a smoother integration of the expatriate and his family. GMR wants the expatriate to feel that he can rely on GMR to assist him at any time during his stay. You can contact GMR for any question regarding your everyday life. The package contains : House maintenance - Small works we will get quotations for house maintenance (alarm, plumber, electrician, building, painter, carpentry, garden, swimming pool,...) and house appliances Assistance for any problem regarding accommodation (ex: Relationship with the owner or the real estate agent, Burglary, Water damages, Fire, ...) Assistance to understand the first bills regarding the accomodation : EDF, France Telecom, Lyonnaise des Eaux. Explanation of the various packages offered by these suppliers Assistance in the administrative procedures : City hall, Social Security, Tax Office, Family Allowances When going back to your home country we will also help you through a departure package defined as follows: Notice period notified to the owner or the real estate agent Terminating the lease House inspection Terminating the insurance Terminating utilities : EDF/GDF (Electricity, Gas) France Telecom (phone), Water...
